Man confesses to killing sister for honour
A man has confessed to have killed his sister for honour in Tarbella Colony in the Saddar Bairuni police jurisdiction of Rawalpindi.
The Saddar Bairuni police on Friday arrested three siblings, one for killing his sister and the other two for concealing the crime, a police spokesperson said.
The 22-year-old Nasreen Bibi was found murdered in the family’s cattle pen situated adjacent to the slain girl’s house in Tarbela Colony two days back.
On Thursday, police had registered a case against unknown persons on a complaint of deceased’s brother Syed Abrar Shah, a resident of Mansehra.
According to the police spokesperson, the police have solved the mystery of the blind murder and arrested the victim’s brother Babar Shah, who confessed to killing his sister for honour.

The police spokesperson said that the accused has pleaded guilty while plaintiff Abrar Shah and his brother Sadaqat Shah have also been arrested for concealing the crime and erasing the evidence.
The police spokesperson said that the mother of the slain girl was also aware of the facts. The spokesperson said that the mother of the slain girl is currently ill and she will be arrested once she is recovered.
According to the preliminary investigation, the mother and brothers of the slain girl tried to hush up the facts in the first place. Police also recovered the bludgeon used in the murder. The police spokesman said that besides including unauthorised consent clauses in the murder case, provisions of the destruction of evidence have also been added to the FIR.
Earlier, the complainant told the police that he received a call at around 11:30 am on August 4 that his sister had been murdered in the cattle pen.
