Two women were sexually assaulted at gunpoint, while a 12-year-old girl thwarted the rape attempt in Sammundri on Friday.

Police said in the case filed with the police by a resident of Sufi Colony Sammundri Road, it has been stated that the suspect Ashraf found her alone in the house, entered and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

Meanwhile, the 16-year-old niece of Khalil Ahmed, a resident of Sammundri Road, was abducted by suspects including Muhammad Jameel and three others. They took the victim to a secluded place where they gang-raped her.

Police registered a case against the suspect under section 376 PPC.

Separately, a 12-year-old girl, a resident of Jaranwala Road, was taken by suspect Omar to his place where he tried to rape her. However, the minor girl thwarted the rape attempt by making noise. The police registered a case under section 376 and 511 PPC and started raids to find the suspects.

Earlier this year in January, two women were allegedly raped in different incidents, according to local police.

In a complaint, a woman informed the police that her parents were killed when she was seven months old and she was living with her aunt near Satiana road. She said that her friend Najma was getting married and invited her to the wedding where his brother Mohammad Imran sexually assaulted her.

In another incident, the complainant said that on January 18 in the morning, Muhammad Yaqub found that Muhammad Ajmal’s 31-year-old wife was alone in the house after the man went to the fields to get fodder. Yaqub allegedly forcibly took her to a room, sexually assaulted her.
