GWADAR:

Hundreds of Gwadar residents took to the streets for the second consecutive day to protest against the 18-hour long electricity load shedding and water scarcity on Thursday.

They chanted slogans and stopped construction work on the expressway under the CPEC project by force. The angry protesting mob also blocked all the routes to the port by placing barriers on the roads.

Men, women and youngsters took part in the protest and the highly enraged women also attacked a protest camp set up by the National Party against load shedding.

These women said some opportunist politicians were taking advantage of the situation to do dirty politics which will not be allowed.

A large number of women and children have taken part in the protest against the lack of electricity and water.
