KARACHI:

Electric vehicles are rapidly gaining popularity in Pakistan following approval of electric vehicle policy last fiscal year and establishment of several vehicle charging stations all over the country. In this regard, local renewable energy solution provider Zi Solar Private Limited has entered into a partnership with Korean Aeonus Co to pave the way for the development of state-of-the-art Korea-manufactured electric vehicle charging and storage equipment in Pakistan. The two companies will also collaborate in research and development to promote electric charging infrastructure and facilities in Pakistan. The collaboration is in line with the government’s objective to promote electric vehicles in a bid to improve the environment and reduce the country’s oil import bill.
