Suspects wanted for robbery at Ehsaas office arrested

Four pistols and stolen items were recovered from the possession of the four suspects

KARACHI:

Police claim to have arrested four suspects wanted for robbery at Ehsaas Centre after an encounter.

Four pistols and stolen items were recovered from the possession of the four suspects who were arrested in injured conditions after an alleged police encounter near a renowned super store located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-2.

The arrested suspects were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment where they were identified as 30-year-old Sajid son of Ahmed, 25-year-old Nadir, son of Nazeer Hussain, 40-year-old Roshan, son of Junaid Ali, and 32-year-old Zafar, son of Rab Nawaz.

SHO Gulshan-e-Iqbal Sabir Khattak shared that four suspects, riding two motorcycles, were robbing a citizen. The police reached the spot and were fired on by the suspects. The resulting shootout led to injuries to the suspects and their ultimate arrest. The SHO further shared that the suspects were also involved in the robbery reported at the office of the Ehsaas programme.

On July 2, the arrested suspects, alongwith their accomplices, robbed Rs0.12 million from the office. The arrested men have also been identified via CCTV footage. They have confessed to committing the robbery at the office of the Ehsaas program during preliminary investigations.
