The Saddar police have held a man who has confessed to killing his wife and tried to make it look like a murder committed while resisting a robbery.
The suspect, Arshad Fayyaz, confessed to his crime during the investigation and said that he stabbed his wife to death. Police officials said the husband had informed the police that unidentified robbers had killed his wife in front of his daughter.
However, the police doubted the husband’s claims and registered an FIR on the complaint of the victim’s father instead of her husband. Later, Arshad confessed to killing his wife.
The suspect said that he did so after becoming annoyed with the constant fights that he used to have with his wife. The police officials said the post-mortem report is expected in the next few days.
