YouTube’s TikTok rival YouTube Shorts now launched in Pakistan
YouTube is now making Shorts available to creators across the globe, including in Pakistan.
“We’re now expanding YouTube’s short-form video creation tools to even more creators around the world,” reads an alert on the Google website.
Alphabet Inc’s launched the short-form video-streaming service on its platform in the United States in March to better compete with rival TikTok in the hugely popular category.

The service, Shorts, let users record mobile friendly vertical videos that can be spiced up with special effects and soundtracks pulled from a music library.
YouTube had rolled out the feature in India in September 2020, after TikTok was banned in one of its biggest markets.
TikTok on the other hand said it would triple the length of time for videos on its platform to up to three minutes, providing video creators more runway. The option to make up to three-minute videos will be rolled out to all TikTok users over the coming weeks
