AJK EC invites CEC Raja to monitor electoral process
Members of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission Raja Farooq Niaz and Farhat Ali Meer have invited Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja to visit the region on the election day on July 25 and monitor the electoral process and arrangements made by them.
The CEC accepted the invitation and maintained that he would come and witness the electoral process.
Officials said that the AJK EC members called on CEC Raja in the metropolis on Sunday and held a meeting with him.
They discussed with the CEC affairs related to the scheduled holding of AJK general elections.
The members of AJK EC invited CEC Raja to visit AJK on the election day to monitor the electoral process and arrangements made by them.
Members of the AJK EC thanked the CEC for his cooperation in preparation of electoral rolls for 12 seats of
Constituent Assembly of AJK for IIOJK refugees living in various parts of Pakistan.
They also lauded the decision of appointing ECP officials as returning officers and assistant returning officers for the election on the reserved seats of the refugees. APP
