Govt agency gets CDA projects

Work on Seventh Avenue, IJP Road, and District Courts will be started within a week

ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board on Friday handed over the construction projects of Seventh Avenue, IJP Road, and District Courts to a government agency to ensure commencement of work on these projects within a week.

The CDA held its sixth board meeting under the chairmanship of Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed at CDA Headquarters to approve the proceedings of the previous meetings. It was decided that the construction projects of Seventh Avenue, IJP Road, and District Courts should be handed over to the government agency. The appointment of a consultant for construction of a slaughterhouse in Islamabad was also approved during the meeting.

The issue of Safa Gold Shopping Mall in Sector F-7 was also discussed in the directive's light of PAC’s standing committee. The meeting also approved changes in the layout plan because of cemeteries in Sector I/11-1 and I/11-2 following the rules and regulations of federal capital territory. Similarly, the NOC request of the Seventh Avenue housing scheme was also approved.

The meeting also discussed privatisation of Jinnah Convention Center, on which the board referred the matter back to the federal cabinet after fulfilling all legal requirements.

The meeting also referred the matter of NOC of Paradise City to the concerned wing and directed that the matter be presented again after fulfilling all legal requirements and regulations.

Similarly, plots of CDA employees in grades one to sixteen retired employees and widows was also considered and they decided that the matter be presented again after review.
