Seven best looks from Cannes 2021 so far

This year's festival saw celebs bringing their fashion A-game after last year's cancellation

With Covid restrictions having eased in Europe, celebrities have come out for Cannes 2021 in full swing. The festival attracts global attention every year, with guests bringing their A-game when it comes to fashion. From flowy gowns to chic pantsuits, the outfits are as glamorous as they are extravagant.

After last year’s Covid-induced cancellation, this year’s event saw celebrities donning their best to rock the classiest red carpet looks out there. Compiled with the help of Insider, here are some of the best looks from this year’s Cannes, so far. 

1. Bella Hadid 

While attending the premiere of Annette, the model stunned in a floor-length black and white Jean Paul Gaultier gown with a sweeping black train. The dress, part of the designer’s 2002 collection, was first seen on Naomi Campbell on the catwalk. Hadid wore her hair up in a sleek bun, accessorising it with a pair of gorgeous drop earrings. 

2. Luna Grothe 

The Brazilian beauty attended the premiere of Matt Damon-starrer Stillwater in a dazzling gold Zuhair Murad jumpsuit. The fitted piece, embellished with sequins, was accessorised with minimal jewellery. The model chose to wear her hair up complete with some chic Audrey Hepburn-esque bangs.  

3. Izabel Goulart 

The model served some serious rocker-chic vibes with this 70s-inspired outfit by Etro. Goulart attended the Stillwater premiere in this gorgeous black statement-maker, with a halter top and feather-embellished flared pants. The diamond jewellery added to the extravagance of the outfit, giving it a glamorous touch. 

4. Masoom Minawala 

Arguably the most popular Indian fashion blogger out there, Minawala stunned in a gorgeous white Manish Malhotra statement saari. The shimmery number boasted of a white embellished pallu and a matching white blouse, complete with glamorously long trailing sleeves. The blogger wore her hair down, sleek and straight, perfect for the red carpet. She paired the outfit with ear accessories from Boucheron. 

5. Meng Li 

The Chinese actor brought the drama to the red carpet in this big and beautiful yellow Yamina Couture dress. She paired it with a show-stopping gemstone neckpiece, keeping the hair sleek and the makeup minimal. 

6. Didi Stone 

Stone shimmered in a pink iridescent custom-made Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini dress. The strapless number featured a sweeping pleated skirt which the starlet accessorised with a single neckpiece, wearing her hair big and natural. 

7. Chiara Ferragni 

The influencer looked radiant in a flowy, bright green Giambattista Valli dress, embellished with silver floral details. The flowers, constructed from recycled aluminium, helped elevate the look and make a sustainable statement. Ferragni wore her hair down with the front pieces braided for a boho-chic look.
