Sridevi is an inspiration for me as an actress and mother: Ayeza Khan

After honouring Mahira Khan and Madam Noor Jehan for her upcoming serial, actor has paid tribute to Sridevi.

After paying tribute to Madam Noor Jehan, actor Ayeza Khan's latest photo shoot is meant to honour late Bollywood legend Sridevi.

The Chupke Chupke star has channelled her inner Sridevi for the latest look of her upcoming drama serial, Lapata. Sharing pictures from the shoot, Ayeza went on to pen a heartfelt note for the Dream Girl of India.

Teray meray honton pe… meethay meethay geet mitwa…” she began. “Amongst so many of my favourite actresses, Sridevi has and will always be on the top. It's a pity that she left us so soon,” lamented Ayeza.

The Meharposh actor went on, “An inspiration for me as an actress and a mother. [I’m] so grateful to be a part of this project that gave me a chance to enjoy a little part of all my favourite icons. Something I have never done, and never wondered I could do.”

Earlier, Ayeza attempted to embody Malika-e-Tarannum for the same drama serial, prior to which, she recreated Mahira Khan's popular avatars from her film, Superstar. Bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Verna star's character Noori from the Bilal Ashraf-starrer, the Meray Paas Tum Ho actor shared her look as homage to Mahira.

"Can’t believe it’s been ten years for you, Mahira, and you’re still on top. That’s because you have entertained us on such a high level with your art, project after project. From your great films to your blockbuster dramas, you have made us all proud, representing us internationally and we are quite fortunate to have you," she penned, sharing pictures dressed as Noori. "For this reason, I wanted to pay my respect to you, in my upcoming project, portraying also you amongst some of the greatest legends."
