LAHORE:

Lahore Police on Monday carried out a flag march to participate in the ‘Lahore Wear Mask’ campaign in collaboration with the district administration.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar led the flag march whereas Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Usman, Chief Traffic Officer Muntazir Mehdi and other senior police officers participated in the flag march.

Teams of different operational units of Lahore Police including Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit, Elite Force, traffic police were also part of the flag march.

The flag march started from Capital City Police Headquarters and passed through different roads and markets of the provincial capital including Sir Ganga Ram Chowk, Muzang, Qurtaba Chowk, Ferozepur Road, Ichra, Barkat Market, Kalma Chowk and other areas of the city.

The purpose of the flag march was to create awareness among citizens and sensitise them to wear face mask and follow all coronavirus-related SOPs for the safety of their own life.

They were warned to protect themselves through wearing the masks to help curb the predicted fourth wave of Covid-19.

The CCPO and the Lahore commissioner distributed the face masks among citizens at different roads and markets during the flag march including Ichra Bazar, Barkat market and other areas of the city.
