Covid-19 claims five more lives in Punjab

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed five more lives across Punjab while 146 fresh infections were reported during the past 24 hours.

As many as 67 patients recovered in Punjab during the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by a spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), the death toll reached 10,772 and the total number of virus cases exceeded 346,720 across the province.

As many as 327,753 patients had recovered from the coronavirus in the province. As per the data provided by the P&SHD, currently 8,203 patients were under treatment in different hospitals across Punjab.

The provincial health department conducted 17,406 tests for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours. In the past 24 hours, Punjab vaccinated 135,604 citizens at its 669 vaccination centres.

The total number of vaccinated people had reached 9,091,733 in the province. The health department officials had appealed the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.
