KARACHI:

Sindh Minister for Education and Labour Saeed Ghani on Friday said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairperson is under pressure of some elements in the federal government on the basis of a video.

"The NAB chairman should show integrity and resign from the post rather than following orders of the federal government to politically victimise the opposition," Ghani said.

He said that he demands and challenges NAB to summon him before the three-member committee headed by its chairperson and he will expose all their deeds before them, for issuing a letter as a threat in response to his Thursday's press conference.

Ghani said that the media should show who is using the houses and vehicles confiscated by NAB and whether the NAB officials are authorized to use the confiscated houses and vehicles as per the law.

He expressed these views while addressing the media representatives at Sindh Assembly's Media Corner on Friday.

"In my press conference yesterday, I demand arrest of PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and inclusion of his name in the ECL. However, NAB is trying to give an impression that I had committed contempt of NAB by issuing a press release," said Ghani.
