PTI politician survives attempt on life
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s local leader Isa Khan and his driver survived an armed attack near Afghan Cut, Northern Bypass on Monday. Some unidentified armed men riding motorcycles reportedly opened fire at Khan’s car and fled immediately.
According to West SSP Suhai Aziz Talpur, the assailants had fired three bullets, which penetrated into the driving seat and back door.
Quoting Khan, she said that there were four assailants riding two motorcycles. She said that the police took the affected car into custody and sent it for forensic analysis.

The SSP further stated that the investigations into the matter were launched after recording the statements.
Besides, Gulshan-e-Maymar Police say that Khan was travelling to hospital from his residence in Afghan Basti when he was attacked. They said that a bullet shell was found from the crime scene, which they sent for forensic analysis.
A similar attack in the same area had left Khan and his wife severely injured recently on June 17. However, his wife succumbed to her injuries during the course of treatment.
Man shot dead
A man was shot dead by unidentified men in Surjani Town sector 36. The deceased, identified as Nadir Ali, 24, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. According to the police, Ali was allegedly shot dead over personal enmity. Police collected the evidence from crime scene and launched probe into the matter.
