Ayeza Khan pens heartfelt tribute for 'living legend' Mahira Khan

'You are not only a friend but an idol, a living legend, who I looked up to from the day we first met,' shared Ayeza

Mahira Khan has completed a decade in the showbiz industry. The actor, who's an inspiration to many, is respected equally by her peers as well. The Humsafar star took to Instagram and bowed her head with gratitude as she thanked her fans for immense love and support. 

Recently, Ayeza Khan was seen as one of Mahira's popular avatars from the latter's film, Superstar. Bearing uncanny resemblance to the Verna actor's character Noori from the Bilal Ashraf-starrer, the Meray Paas Tum Ho star shared her look is an homage to Mahira. 

"Can’t believe it’s been ten years for you, Mahira, and you’re still on top. That’s because you have entertained us on such a high level with your art, project after project. From your great films to your blockbuster dramas, you have made us all proud, representing us internationally and we are quite fortunate to have you," she penned, sharing pictures of herself dressed as Noori from her upcoming drama serial, Lapata. "For this reason, I wanted to pay my respect to you, in my upcoming project, portraying also you amongst some of the greatest legends."

Ayeza went on to add, "To me, you are not only a friend but an idol, a living legend, who I have looked up to from the day we first met. Thank you for everything. Congratulations on all these years and I wish you all the best for the future. You are and will always be our heroine!"

Mahira was quick to reciprocate the Chupke Chupke star's admiration. "Oh my love… you have made me teary eyed. And this, your post, it doesn’t say as much about me as it does about YOU. So much love.. I’m humbled."

Earlier, Mahira penned a heartfelt note to clock her ten years in the industry. "I bow my head in gratitude to all of you - for this magical journey I’ve had and continue to have." She further added, "There have been many ups and downs, there have been moments of feeling broken and alone, and moments of feeling elated but my fans have been there rock-solid, behind me. My constant. I am so grateful for the love. I promise to work harder, I promise to give back. I promise that your love won’t go in vain. So much love, always."
