Five FC soldiers martyred in Sibi attack
Five Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack in the Sibi district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in statement on Friday.
The FC men, deployed in the mountainous area of Sangan, located between Sibi and Harnai districts, came under attack, while patrolling the area late on Thursday night. The ISPR said that terrorists targeted an FC patrol.
During the exchange of fire, heavy losses were inflicted on the terrorists in men and material, the ISPR statement said. “However, during the process 5 brave soldiers of FC Balochistan also embraced Shahadat,” it added.
The martyred FC men were Havaldar Zafar Ali Khan, resident of Lakki Marwat; Lance Naik Hidayat Ullah, resident of Lakki Marwat; Lance Naik Nasir Abbas, resident of Bhakkar; Lance Naik Bashir Ahmed, resident of Nasserabad and Sepoy Noor Ullah, resident of Lakki Marwat.

The ISPR said that a sanitisation search operation was in progress to block the escape routes of the terrorists and apprehend the perpetrators.
It added that such cowardly acts by inimical elements, backed by hostile intelligence agencies, could not sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan. “Security forces are determined to neutralise their nefarious designs even at the cost of blood and lives.”
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani, Home Minister Ziaullah Langove, PHE Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar, senators Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti and Samina Mumtaz Zehri strongly condemned the attack on security forces.
They said that such cowardly attacks would not force the government and the security forces to abanadon action against these elements. They added that all attempts and conspiracies would be foiled with the help of security forces and the people of Balochistan.
