Minister for energy-efficient appliances

ISLAMABAD:

Energy efficient appliances can make a huge difference towards conserving valuable energy resources and help resolve major issues affecting the energy sector of the country, said Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz. Chairing a meeting related to energy efficient products on Wednesday, he said production of such merchandise at par with international standards must be ensured in the country. The federal minister stressed the need for raising awareness of energy conservation and energy efficient products in Pakistan. Pakistan has a price sensitive market and if people are made aware of energy conservation, it will save money for them and retain energy for the country, he said. “Use of energy efficient items will be beneficial for all stakeholders including consumers, manufacturers and the government,” he said.
