A local court summoned on Tuesday the relevant SHO over Pakistan Peoples Party’s Member of National Assembly Qadir Khan Mandokhail’s plea against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Ashiq Awan.
The West district court heard the plea at Karachi City Court. The court directed the SHO to appear at the next hearing and submit a detailed report. Mandokhail has maintained in the plea that Awan slapped him during a live television talk-show.
He accused Awan of verbally abusing and threatening him. Maintaining that his voters and family were badly shaken by the incident as the police also refused to register a case, the MNA moved the court to order the police to register a case against Awan. The hearing on the plea was adjourned till June 29.
