The Islamabad police arrested 25 suspected criminals and other offenders from different areas of the city during the last two days and recovered contraband, liquor and weapons from their possession.
According to a spokesperson, Khanna police arrested Amjad and recovered 215 grams of hashish from his possession while Secretariat police arrested Umair and recovered 15 litres of liquor from him.
He added that Nilore police arrested Taimoor Tariq and recovered a 30-bore pistol from his possession and Shahzad Town police arrested Zakir Khan while recovering a 30-bore pistol from him as well.
Similarly, Bani Gala police arrested Muhammad Bilal and recovered a pistol from his possession while Kohsar police arrested Faraz Butt and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him.
Moreover, Sihala police arrested Bilal for selling petrol illegally while Bara Kahu police arrested Nashat and recovered 215 grams of hashish from him.
Likewise, Industrial Area police arrested Abid and recovered 110 grams of hashish from him while Sabzi Mandi police arrested Waheerullah and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him.

The Khanna police arrested Ghulam Mustafa and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him while Shams Colony police arrested Muhammad Haris and recovered a 30-bore pistol from his possession as well.
Furthermore, the Islamabad police held 12 suspected criminals, including a four-member bike-lifting gang and recovered seven stolen motorcycles, fake documents, a huge cache of narcotics and weapons from their possession, the official informed.
He stated that Koral police busted a four-member bike-lifter gang and arrested Zahid, Adnan, Nabeel, and Asad while recovering seven stolen motorbikes and forged papers from their possession.
The arrested gang members confessed to have stolen motorcycles from various areas of the Koral police station precinct.
Moreover, a special police team busted a three-member drug peddlers gang, arresting Waqar Ahmed, Kulsoom and Amna and recovered 12.610 kilogrammes of hashish from their possession.
Cases were registered against all accused while further investigation is under way, the official maintained, adding that the police also arrested six alms-seekers from various areas of the city.
