Woman ‘killed by in-laws’

Woman's husband, his mother Shakeela Bibi reportedly would often subject the victim to severe torture.

LAHORE:

An 18-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her in-laws in Batapur on Friday.

According to the police report, the victim identified as Zainab, a resident of Lakhodar, was married to Ghulam Abbas.

Reportedly, Ghulam and his mother Shakeela Bibi would often subject the victim to severe torture.

On the day of the incident, they beat her up on a minor issue so brutally that she suffered serious injuries and fell unconscious.

The victim was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment but could not survive. She succumbed to her injuries.

Police shifted the body to a morgue for autopsy and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.
