Dilip Kumar hospitalised after ‘episodes of breathlessness’
Renowned Bollywood veteran Dilip Kumar had to be admitted to Mumbai's Hinduja hospital on Sunday morning after episodes of breathlessness. His manager informed his fans about the same via Twitter.
Members of the Indian film fraternity have been wishing him a speedy recovery on social media ever since.
"Dilip sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He's had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep sahab in your prayers and please stay safe," a tweet from Kumar’s official Twitter handle read.
Soon after, wishes for his recovery started pouring in from fans and celebrities everywhere. "Praying for Dilip Saab's speedy recovery,” wrote Manoj Bajpayee. “Wishing a speedy recovery to our great legend,” added Urmila Matondkar.
Sharing a poem by the legend, actor Ayushman Khurrana also took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, "Dawa bhi, dua bhi, auron se faslaa bhi. Ghareeb ki khidmat kamzor ki seva bhi. #Getwellsoon #YusufSaab"
Known as the Tragedy King of Bollywood, Kumar’s career spans over six decades. With films like Devdas, Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Kranti and Karma under his belt, Kumar made a place for himself in the hearts of the entire subcontinent and beyond.
