Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar (UoP) Dr Muhammad Idrees has invited the protesting employees of the university for negotiation to end their protest.
The employees of UoP are among the staff of four universities who are protesting against the non-payment of allowances to employees by universities due to financial crisis.
“If the employees don’t end their strike call then deduction will be made from their salaries and we will recruits fresh graduates who needs jobs,” he warned, adding that those teachers who would not attend the classes from Monday will have to face a salary cut.
“If the strike is not ended then we will have no choice to recruit new teachers,” he added.
