KARACHI: Up to 132 cases of dengue have been reported in Sindh so far this year. Healthcare experts have warned of an epidemic because of the monsoon rains. Focal Person of Sindh Health Department’s Dengue Surveillance Cell Dr Shakeel Malik said that during the rainy season, it is normal for mosquitoes to breed in pools of accumulated rainwater. He stated that the municipal authorities must ensure that rainwater is properly drained from roads, streets, playgrounds and open areas.
