KURIANWALA:

A transgender person was tortured by fellow transgender persons who tortured him and cut the victim’s hair over the resentment of being dismissed.

Police said Khurram Shehzad, a transgender person, filed a complaint stating that he works as a dancer. At half-past one in the night, he was going to the Lorry Ada with Usman alias Bebo to get food.

Shehzad said, “another transgender person Sara Ali, who used to work for our Guru, was fired by the Guru because of bad behaviour. Due to this resentment, he tortured me and cut my hair with scissors along with his colleagues Jabbar and others. They also snatched my mobile phone, gold chain and rings from me.”

Sargodha Road Police registered a case against the suspects under 337-V and 506 Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

As a result, dozens of transgender, led by Khurram Shehzad, blocked the road at District Council Chowk on Wednesday afternoon, staged a protest against the non-arrest of the accused by the Sargodha Road police.
