ISLAMABAD:

The students of matriculation and intermediate have demanded that the education ministry take measures to postpone the annual examinations till August. The students have also asked the ministry to take online examinations instead of the traditional physical exams.

Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club (NPC) on Monday, the students maintained that the educational institutions remained closed throughout the year due to which neither was the syllabus completed nor could they prepare for the examination. The students said in the current situation, they could not give exams in person.

The students also shared their concern about contracting coronavirus as their age group has not been vaccinated yet. Some students said they felt that the government does not care about students’ lives.

They demanded that the government postpone the annual examinations, reduce the syllabus, and give students preparation time till August.
