Protests erupt in Panjgur against killing of scholar

Shutter down strike to be observed in district today

All Parties Citizens Action Committee Panjgur staged a protest and rallied against the assassination of Maulana Abdul Hai, Deputy Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Panjgur. The rally started from Jamia Masjid Noorullah and passed through different streets of the market in Bismillah Chowk, Panjgur. Mir Nazir Ahmed Baloch, Chairman All Parties Urban Action Committee, Hafiz Muhammad Azam Baloch, District Amir of JUI, Divisional President PML-N and All Parties Citizen Action, Vice Chairman of the Committee Ashraf Sagar, District President of BNP Kifayatullah Baloch, District General Secretary of Jamaate-Islami Maulana Noor Mohammad, National Party District President Haji Saleh Mohammad Baloch. Addressing the protestors, the speakers said no one's life or property is safe. "He who wants to speak against oppression is removed from the path," the speakers said. "The government and police have completely failed to establish law and order.” The speakers lambasted the government for not arresting the killers of Maulana Abdul Hayee. They said the All Parties Civil Action Committee has finalised a shutter down strike across the city including Panjgur Bazaar on Saturday (today).
