MULTAN:

Police on Tuesday interrogated the parents of the children who were poisoned to death four days ago in the Muzaffarabad area of Multan.

Police said the reason behind the investigation of the minor’s parents was the everyday quarrels between the couple. The doctor who conducted the autopsy of the three minor victims had also made his report conditional to the final reports of the Forensic Science Lab in Lahore.

The doctor said that he would give his report after receiving the report from Lahore. Police questioned the plaintiff and father of the deceased children, Khadim Hussain, in Muzaffarabad police station.

Reportedly, the police were already investigating the suspects arrested in the case. According to the police officials, the three minor victims were either poisoned or had died as a result of wrong medicine. Investigations were being conducted from both angles, they added.

Samira Bibi, the mother of the deceased children, left her home two months ago due to the constant altercation. She returned home a month ago. In this regard, Cantt SP Kamran Amir said that samples of the medicine had been sent for chemical examination.

Earlier, in the FIR, Khadim had alleged that his wife Sameera and Dr Saleem had killed his children.

Muzaffarabad SHO Raja Akbar said investigation was underway in this case from all angles.
