Over 1,500 Covid cases detected 

Another 599 persons have also recovered from the virus in 24 hours

Sindh reported 11 more coronavirus deaths and over 1,500 fresh infections on Sunday.

As many as 1,529 people were diagnosed when 21,808 samples were tested for the contagion, according to a statement issued by the Sindh Chief Minister’s House.

Another 599 persons have also recovered from the virus in last 24 hours.

The provincial pandemic death toll has risen to 4,920, said CM Syed Murad Ali Shah. A total of 309,630 cases have been detected thus far and of them, 281,596 have recovered, he added.

Elaborating further, the CM said 23,114 patients are under treatment for the infection in Sindh. Of them, 22,181 were in home isolation, 15 at isolation centres, 918 admitted at different hospitals. The condition of at least 94 persons is critical with 94 shifted to ventilators, he added.

Of the new cases, 1,066 were detected in Karachi.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad reported 145, Shikarpur 30, Kashmore 27, Sujawal 22, Ghotki 21, Kambar Shahdadkot 17, Sukkur reported 16 and other districts in the province reported fewer cases.
