90 Covid patients admitted to Pindi hospitals
One person died of Covid-19 and 90 Covid patients were admitted to different hospitals of Rawalpindi on Saturday. According to the daily situation report issued by the District Health Authority, 12 Covid patients were brought to the Holy Family Hospital, 15 to the Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 36 to the Institute of Urology, 22 to the Fauji Foundation Hospital, three to the Bilal Hospital and one each to the Akthar Memorial Trust and the Hearts international Hospital.
The report said three patients were on ventilators in critical condition, 27 on oxygen support and 60 in stable condition. Among the fresh Covidc cases reported during the last 24 hours, 20 belonged to Rawal Town, 21 to Potohar Town, 24 to Rawalpindi Cantt, 12 to Taxila, three to Gujjar Khan and three to Murree, said the report. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Capt Bilal Hashim said that maximum arrangements for the treatment of Covid-19 patients have been made. "All possible preventive measures are in place to meet any eventuality," he added.
He went on to say that a full-scale fumigation drive was under way in different localities of the city, especially where corona suspects have been found. Bilal advised the citizens to avoid crowded places, stay at home and follow safety measures issued by the government. A day ago, one patient had died of Covid-19 in the federal capital, pushing the total number of deaths from the deadly virus to 741 in the city. According to an official report, 80,010 people have been infected with the novel coronavirus in Islamabad so far. Of the total infected persons, 71,382 patients have recovered, while 741 have lost their lives.
According to the report, 221 more cases of the novel corona were reported in Islamabad during the last 24 hours, while 383 patients also recovered during this period. As many as 7,887 active Covid cases are present in Islamabad. So far, 49,056,853 people have been vaccinated across the country against the novel coronavirus. In total, 2,631,873 people have been vaccinated with the first dose, while 1,193,441 people have been vaccinated with both doses. So far, 49,056,853 people have been vaccinated across the country.
