At least eight people were killed whereas 979 were injured in 890 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the past 24 hours. Out of the total injured, 598 victims were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals whereas 381 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site. The majority of accidents, around 65 per cent, involved motorcycles. As many as 202 RTCs were reported in Lahore, placing the provincial capital at the top of the list.
