Later, three of the injured persons succumbed to their wounds while under medical treatment.

The hospital sources further said after being given first aid treatment, the injured persons were referred to Dera Ghazi Khan for further medical treatment.

The bodies were handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

“The land dispute had been prolonging between both the tribes since a long period,” DC Barkhan said, adding that in order to avert further escalation, an extra contingent of police had been deployed in the area and the situation is now in control.
