Sarwar announces Rs100m for Palestinians

Solidarity conference unanimously passes resolution against Israeli aggression

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar on Tuesday announced Rs100 million aid for the Palestinian people.

Addressing the Palestine Solidarity Conference at Governor’s House, Lahore, he added that a campaign was being launched titled ‘Give Peace and Freedom to Palestine’ in collaboration with the business community.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Senator Waleed Iqbal, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Jamat-e-Islami’s Farid Ahmad Paracha, Justice Nasira Javaid Iqbal, Mian Ahsan from Friends of Lahore, wife of Punjab Governor Perveen Sarwar, GCU Vice Chancellor Dr Asghar Zaidi were also present on the occasion. He further said, “I will get in touch with the European and British members of parliament and Israeli aggression will be exposed. No one in Pakistan can even think of recognising Israel unless Palestine will be given freedom.”

During the conference, resolutions were also unanimously passed to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and against the ongoing Israeli aggression.
