Taking inspiration from the relationship between her Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-star Imran Khan and his wife Avantika, Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif has decided to produce her first film. She will make her first ever truly intense, romantic film on someone who is as much of an ideal beau as Khan is and rumour has it that she also plans to cast him as the lead.
The concept of the film with the tentative title Janam-Janam Ka Saathi Love-Forever, struck Kaif when she witnessed Khan interacting with his wife. Kaif later told a friend: “I felt a pang of envy for Imran’s wife whose husband is so devoted, so ‘all there’ for her and so not into cheating on her at all.”
The actor is extremely excited about the venture and may even write the screenplay of the film herself. “It is my fantasy love story. The kind of ideal love that I don’t think is prevalent in today’s day and age. When I see Imran with Avantika, I see a togetherness spanning an entire lifetime,” says Kaif. The actor says finding true love in today’s day and age is almost impossible but people like Khan keep her hopes high. “Imran is really devoted to his wife and that makes me hopeful about love,” Kaif adds.
Kaif and Khan recently shot romantic songs in Agra for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, where the actor was highly impressed by her co-star’s acting. Kaif says “Imran came across as very romantic on screen. We even did a take on Salim-Anarkali as a small part of a song, just for the sake of it.”
