Infused in pastels, 7 celebs who are shining this Eidul Fitr
This year, Eidul Fitr is more solemn than celebratory as Pakistanis mourn the lives lost in Palestine amid the Israeli oppression.
The last days of Ramazan became a moment of introspection as several continue to raise their voice against the ‘ethnic cleansing, terrorism’ that plagues Palestine.
However, as religious tradition dictates, the Eid spirit is being maintained to some degree. People are still dressing up to meet their loved ones – hopefully keeping social distancing measures in mind.
And celebs are also sharing their Eid looks with fans. So since we spent our first day of Eid endlessly scrolling through our Instagram feeds, we've rounded up some of our favourite looks for you. Just one question, are you a fan of pastels? Because here’s presenting you celebs who rocked them this Eidul Fitr.
Syra Yousuf
People’s favorite, Syra Yousuf stunned in a dusty pink summer saree by Mohsin Naveed Ranjha. Her floral blouse had us searching our own wardrobes for something as bloomy. Let’s not ignore the way she carried that saree pallu around her neck – a total statement might we add!
Naimal Khawar
It’s no surprise Naimal Khawar made it to our list. She is all about the pastels and this Eid, she too, donned a Mohsin Naveed Ranjha ensemble. Her izzar set on ivory silk was fused and block printed with gota finish, coupled with a blockprint khaddi dupatta finished with kirin.
Sadaf Kanwal
Sadaf Kanwal looked like a sight to behold in an elegant Shamsha Hashwani number. Her pure white kurti, crafted with monotone embroidery was playfully uplifted with a cloud blue dupatta featuring tints of pink. Kanwal paired this with a plain white trouser, heels and golden bangles, keeping her makeup and accessories to a minimum.
Mansha Pasha
Mansha Pasha rocked an exquisitely designed Masuri jacket with delicate embroidery adorned with alluring embellishments by Haya Nehdiya. She paired the jacket with an electric pleated Masuri flared trouser, and although it’s difficult to imagine wearing something so heavily studded in this heat, it sure looked great on the Laal Kabootar star who celebrated her first Eid with Jibran Nasir after tying the knot.
Saba Qamar
Of course Saba Qamar stole our hearts on the first day of Eid in an Ali Xeeshan number. The actor looked pristine in a cotton silk shirt and gharara, enhanced with golden aari embroidery. The gharara also featured a beautifully scalloped border while her organza dupatta with tea pink finishing on all sides had us swooning.
Sarah Khan
Mrs Falak, as she now likes to be called, stunned in a Kanwal Malik ensemble as she shared loved up photos with her husband. Her lemon yellow cotton net outfit featured a detailed hand embellished neckline and sleeves with intricate sheesha work along with a tasteful array of lace. The shirt was paired with finely embroidered Korean silk culottes.
Saboor Aly
Saboor Aly looked like a babe, if you may, in a pastel green ensemble by Amna Arshad. Keeping it minimal and modern, Aly’s plain one shoulder, puff-sleeved dress featured a silver neckline which she enhanced with silver earrings. Her dupatta was curated with patches of silver embroidery and so she pulled the look together with silver heels, shining as always.
