City District Police claimed on Wednesday to have arrested a drug peddler and a street criminal in separate operations in the metropolis.
The Chakiwara Police arrested an alleged street criminal and claimed to have found an illegal weapon in his possession. The suspect was arrested in an operation near Bahar Colony.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Abdul Qayum, was involved in several street crimes.
The weapon confiscated from the possession of Qayum was sent for forensic analysis and his criminal record has been sought. Separately, the Kalri Police arrested a suspected drug dealer during a raid near Baloch Goth and claimed to have found drugs and a mobile phone in his possession. According to police, the suspect, Dad Muhammad, was involved in supplying drugs to different areas of the metropolis.
