PTI rule free of corruption scandals: CM

'The PTI government has set an example of transparency'

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has claimed that not a single corruption scandal involving the government has surfaced during the past two and a half years.

“For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the PTI government has set an example of transparency,” he said in a statement issued on Sunday.

“No one can dare to misappropriate national resources, while billions of rupees were looted in the previous tenures and the former rulers set record of corruption by taking kickbacks and commission in different projects,” he alleged. He said that in the previous governments, a new scandal of corruption was revealed every day.

The chief minister alleged that the opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement comprised elements involved in corruption.

Buzdar said the nation had not forgotten the stories of looting and plundering of former rulers. ‘
