Federal Minister for Privatisation Mohammed Mian Soomro on Thursday chaired a regular weekly meeting to review the progress made so far on the privatisation of selected public sector enterprises (PSEs).
The minister was briefed about the current status of various entities to be privatised in the power, financial, insurance, industrial and real estate sectors.
Soomro directed the authorities concerned to address the various legal and administrative challenges faced in the privatisation of different entities.
The weekly review meetings are held to monitor progress and discuss the hurdles faced in the process.
The minister directed relevant officials to take up the issues with the ministries, divisions and departments concerned and move towards timely completion of privatisation process.
