Pakistan Customs reactivates complaint cell

Deputy collectors directed to make surprise visits to check posts

Quetta Customs Collector Irfan Javed has issued directions to reactivate the complaint cell in the Customs Collectorate to address the issues faced by masses and traders related to Pakistan Customs.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Javed vowed to ensure transparency by initiating proper punitive action against those officials found involved in any kind of illegal activity.

The collector said the names, phone numbers and email addresses of the officers posted in complaint cell would be made public, adding that the masses could directly access him for addressing their complaints.

The deputy collectors have also been directed to made surprise visits to the Customs check posts in order to witness routine operations.

He directed Additional Collector Yasir Wahab Kalhor to immediately pay a visit to Dalbandin and Nushki and arrange meetings with the government officials, local traders and public representatives to sort out the problem being faced to masses and traders in Chagai and Nushki districts.
