ISLAMABAD:

Provincial assembly opposition leader Haleem Adil Sheikh filed a contempt of court case in the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the Sindh IGP and other senior police officials.

The officers included the additional IGP Karachi, DIG East, SSP Malir, IO Memon Goth police station and others. Earlier, the Sindh police had filed cases under the anti-terrorism act against the PTI leader, despite orders from the apex court.

Haleem Adil, in his constitutional petition, named IGP Mushtaq Mahar, AIGP Ghulam Nabi Memon, DIG East Nauman Siddiqui, SSP Malir and others as respondents. The apex court issued notices on the petition.
