ISLAMABAD:

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin has commended the measures taken by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to shield small and medium businesses against insolvency and joblessness amid the Covid-19 pandemic. According to a statement issued by the finance ministry on Wednesday, the minister met State Bank Governor Dr Reza Baqir and received updates on the different policy initiatives taken to support businesses amid the coronavirus pandemic. Tarin lauded the introduction of Roshan Digital Account, which facilitated non-resident Pakistanis in mobilising their savings by making investment in Pakistan through online banking.
