Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Saturday questioned Ramazan gatherings amid the Covid-19 outbreak, reported Free Press Journal. Taking to Twitter, the Queen actor requested Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately halt Ramazan gatherings. However, she received backlash soon after and deleted her tweet.

Kangana's tweet came after Modi’s call to make Kumbh Mela ‘symbolic’ due to the surge in coronavirus cases in the country.

A day later, 30 religious ascetics known as ‘sadhus’ contracted Covid-19 amid the Kumbh festivities. The PM had requested authorities to inquire about the health and safety of the seers and asked them to keep religious congregations symbolic, respecting Covid SOPs.

The 34-year-old starlet is known for raising her voice on several issues via social media. Just a few days ago, on Friday she had spoken in support of fellow actor Kartik Aaryan who was ousted from Karan Johar’s upcoming film, Dostana 2. "Kartik has come this far on his own, on his own he will continue to do so, only request to papa jo and his nepo gang club is please leave him alone like Shushant don’t go after him and force him to hang himself. Leave him alone you vultures, get lost chindi nepos,” she began in the tweet.

“Kartik no need to be scared of these chillars. After doing nasty articles and releasing announcements blaming only your attitude for fall out this moron wants to maintain dignified silence. They spread same stories of drug addiction and unprofessional behaviour for SSR."

As far as her on-screen projects are concerned, Ranaut will be seen in films including Thalaivi, Tejas and Dhaakad.
