The holy month of Ramazan has commenced and Muslims – and even non-Muslims – have taken to fasting around the globe. Many celebrities, be it our very own stars or those from Bollywood and Hollywood have also wished each other on this auspicious occasion.

Once again, the holy month, as well as Eid-ul-Fitr, will be celebrated amid rising coronavirus cases and deaths. But we suppose one can celebrate virtually? Saba Qamar, Ayeza Khan, Danish Taimoor and many other local celebrities extended wishes on Instagram, along with photos of a perfect crescent moon on Tuesday.

On the other hand, Amna Ilyas posted a photo of herself with the caption, “To all my friends, fans and loved ones… life is too short to keep grudges. Kaha, suna aur maaf (Said, heard and forgiven). Ramzan Mubarak!”

Singer Umair Jaswal posted, “Ramzan Mubarak to all of you. Remember us in your prayers. May Allah shower his blessings upon all of us and may He give us strength, protect us all and heal the ones who are fighting for their lives. May Allah bless the departed souls and give their families strength and sabr (patience.) Ameen.”

Others like Aiman and Minal Khan, Saboor Aly, Hira Mani, Mohib Mirza, Saba Faisal also extended heartfelt wishes for all their followers.

Celebs from Bollywood - including Amitabh Bachchan, Dia Mirza to South actor Hansika Motwani and others –also penned warm wishes for Muslims in India and around the world, reported Zee News. The Piku actor took it to micro-blogging site Twitter and said, “T 3873 - What a blessed day. Gudi padva, baisakhi, first navratra, ugadi and Ramazan on April 13, 2021. Blessings of Waheguru, Mata Rani, Ganesh, Brahma and Allah on the same day.”

Whereas Mirza tweeted, “Wishing all good health, peace and joy,” while wishing Muslims on this special occasion.

But it wasn’t just celebs on the Eastern side of the world who chimed in. Nickelodeon and Disney stars like Drake Bell of Drake & Josh fame, Lindsay Lohan of Mean Girls fame and Maria Canals-Berrera – best known for playing Mrs Russo from Wizard of Waverly Place – also said a few words for fellow Muslims on this blessed month via American-Pakistani charitable organisation called Paani.

"Hey, what’s up, Muslim brothers and sisters? This is Drake Bell," began the actor. “This is Lindsay Lohan, Jesse McCartney, Mr Moseby from Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Mariah Canals-Berrera and Jennifer Stone and we wish you a very happy blessed month. Ramadan Kareem! We hope that you're happy and well during this fasting month."
