It's a wrap: Shooting for 'Friends Reunion' special concludes
The long-awaited Friends Reunion has wrapped up shooting and as the delectable Chandler Bing would say, could we be any more excited? Following recurrent delays and a year of Covid-19, the special episode is finally in its post-production stage, preparing to grace us any month now.
The episode features our very own Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Mathew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer. There have been several BTS pictures and videos that released recently to tease our teen spirits.
The Friends Reunion is set to stream later this year on HBO Max. It was shot at the Warner Bros Studios, where the show concluded in 2004. HBO had confirmed in February 2020 that the special, along with all 236 episodes, will be released on its streaming platform HBO Max.
And on Sunday, the show’s official Instagram page announced, “That’s a wrap! Could we be any more excited!?”
Recently, Schwimmer revealed some details about the special in a conversation on The Graham Norton Show. He said, “There’s nothing scripted.. We’re not in character. We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away but we all read something.”
The interview confirmed that after the reunion, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing, Rachel Green, Phoebe Buffay or Ross Geller will not return to our screens ever again. Schwimmer also ensured fans that the special will have a lot of surprises, without revealing anything else.
Here are some BTS shots from the set that took fans down memory lane.
