Covid inoculation drive begins in prisons in Sindh
The process of administering coronavirus vaccines to inmates and jail staff aged over 50 began on Wednesday.
The inoculation of prisoners began with Karachi Central Jail as a team of doctors and health workers arrived and carried out routine checkups before administering the first dose to an elderly inmate. Jail officials and other inmates followed next.

Meanwhile, in Malir District Jail it was the SSP and deputy superintendent who were first in line to receive the jabs. The inmates were vaccinated after them.
According to jail officials there are over 1,800 inmates and 650 jail officials in Sindh's prisons who are over 50 years old.
As many as 2,532 inmates are to be vaccinated against the coronavirus under the drive, the Sindh health department had announced earlier.
