Katrina Kaif tests positive for Covid-19
Katrina Kaif is the latest Bollywood celebrity to have tested positive for Covid-19. Sharing the news on her Instagram, the Tiger Zinda Hai actor revealed that she has isolated immediately and will be under home quarantine, reported Times of India.
“I have tested positive for Covid-19. Have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine,” began the actor in a detailed post. “I'm following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get tested immediately too. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.”
On Monday, Kaif’s rumoured boyfriend and actor, Vicky Kaushal also informed his followers that he had contracted the virus. Kaushal was shooting for Mr Lele with Bhumi Pednekar, who is also in quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19 soon after.
Katrina's starrer Sooryavanshi was slated to hit the screens on April 20 but its released date has now been postponed due to increasing cases in the country.
The filmmakers had said in a statement, “The Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr Uddhav Thackeray had a discussion with director Rohit Shetty yesterday. In the meeting, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray appreciated Rohit Shetty as he took the brave and difficult decision of postponing Sooryavanshi owing to the current corona situation in the state." The film features Katrina and Akshay Kumar in lead roles, both of whom have fallen prey to Covid-19 in recent days. Apart from Sooryavanshi, Katrina will be seen in Tiger 3 alongside former flame Salman Khan and Phone Bhoot, with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter.
