CCI meets today, may notify census results

The meeting will be attended by the four chief ministers and federal ministers

ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair an important meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) on Wednesday (today) which will discuss an 11-point agenda, including approval of the notification for the release of the census results, 2017.

The meeting will be attended by the four chief ministers and federal ministers. It will review the implementation of decisions taken at previous meetings of the CCI and its permanent secretariat. The meeting is expected to approve the notification for the release of the census results.

The annual report of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) will be presented at the meeting. The participants will also consider amendments to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) Ordinance.

According to the agenda of the meeting, status of higher education after the 18th Amendment, matters related to funding for health and population welfare and the liquefied natural gas import will also be discusses.
