A man stabbed his wife on Thursday after she refused to return to him.
According to the police report, the deceased Bushra Bibi was married to Javed, a resident of Mananwala, Punjab 20 years ago.
A few days ago, a quarrel broke out between the couple over their daughters' marriage, as a result of which Bushra got angry and moved to her parents' house in Ghowal.
The suspect, Javed, had gone to his in-laws’ house to bring back his wife, aged 40, who had been living with her parents after an altercation with him. When her husband came to take her, another quarrel broke out between the couple.

Javed got angry and stabbed his wife, injuring her severely. She was rushed to Allied Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, while her husband fled from her house.
Upon receiving the information, DSP Nishatabad Fayyaz Ehsan and SHO Millat Town Abid Hussain Jutt reached the spot and took the body into custody for investigation.
After raiding several places, police arrested the suspect Javed along with a knife and acquired his remand.
Police said that the suspect wanted to arrange his daughters' marriage in accordance with his own choice but his wife wanted to arrange their marriage of her own will. Differences on the issue caused a quarrel between the couple, after which Bushra went to her parents' home.
