‘Provision of quality essentials top priority’

People would be facilitated during the month by preventing a price hike in order to discourage hoarders

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi said the district administration would control prices and ensure availability of commodities during the month of Ramazan. “We are making hectic efforts to provide quality essentials.”

During his visit to district headquarters markets to monitor the auction of vegetables and fruits on Saturday, the deputy commissioner said that provision of the commodities at controlled rates was the top priority of the district administration. The DC added that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

He further said that the people would be facilitated during the month by preventing a price hike in order to discourage hoarders.

On the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Bukhtiar Ismail and other concerned officers were also present.

Later, the deputy commissioner visited different areas of the city and reprimanded the supervisor of City Park over poor maintenance of the premises.
