Coronavirus vaccination of 10,983 health workers and 2,585 citizens has so far been completed in Multan district as per data issued by the district health authority so far.
Health CEO Dr Arshad Malik said the process of corona vaccination has been expedited on the direction of Deputy Commissioner. As many as 16,470 citizens have been registered for corona vaccination out of which more than 4,000 citizens have been issued vaccination schedule. He said 2,585 citizens have been given the first dose of corona vaccine.
The health department has more than 2,000 doses of the vaccine available. Dr Arshad Malik said a schedule for vaccination of 15,886 doctors and medics have also been issued schedule for coronavirus vaccination, out of which 7,687 health workers have been given first dose and 3,296 health workers have been given second dose of vaccine. The CEO said the number of vaccination centers would be increased if required. Walk-in vaccination of people over the age of 65 is being done at the DHDC Centre.
